Our mission
To build a trusted community where authors find dedicated ARC, beta, and alpha readers, and where readers discover new favorites before anyone else. Browsing and signing up to read is always free.
How it works
Authors post reader calls. Readers browse those calls, filter by genre and trope, and apply for the books they want to read early. Once approved, readers enjoy in-browser reading, per-chapter discussions, and track their reviews across retailers, while authors manage their reader team in one tidy place.
Where we came from
The Tavern grew out of the ARC Authors and Readers Connection community, where authors and readers had been connecting for years. We built this site to make that process easier and more reliable: real search and filters, exact due dates, author profiles, and reader teams, all in one spot.
Our community
Our members are indie authors at all stages and readers who love to read early and give honest, constructive feedback. The Story Tavern is created and maintained by Michelle Rogers, a member of that community. Questions, ideas, or feedback are always welcome on our Contact page.
