About The Story Tavern
The Story Tavern is a gathering place for indie authors and the readers who love to champion them. Authors post calls for ARC (Advance Reader Copy), Alpha, and Beta readers; readers browse those calls, filter by genre and trope, and sign up for the books they want to read early.
The Tavern grew out of the ARC Authors and Readers Connection community, where authors and readers had been connecting for years. We built this site to make that process easier and more reliable: real search and filters, exact due dates, author profiles, and a tidy place to manage reader teams, all in one spot.
We are independent and reader-friendly. Browsing and signing up to read is always free. Our goal is simple: help good books find the right early readers, and help readers discover their next favorite story before anyone else.
Who runs it
