A pass covers one launch window and stops; a plan keeps hosting, delivery and your reader teams running between books, and works out cheaper per launch as soon as there is a second book. The pass is here for the author with one book and no wish to manage a subscription around it. (Launch Passes are not on sale yet. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I cancel my subscription?
A: Yes, any time, from Billing (the link above, or Plans & billing on your Account page). Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then it stops. No refunds for partial periods.
Q: What happens to my hosted books if I cancel?
A: Nothing is deleted. Once your plan lapses (or a failed payment passes the 10-day grace period), in-app hosting turns off, readers lose in-browser access and downloads, but your books, chapters and data are kept. Re-subscribe any time to switch hosting back on. Downgrading to a plan with a lower book cap pauses your newest hosted books first; your oldest stay active.
Q: Can readers use the site for free?
A: Yes, always. There's no reader plan or reader fee, reading in the browser, joining a reader team and leaving reviews cost nothing. (Whether a given book is available to read in-browser depends on that author's plan, not yours.)
Q: Can I switch plans later?
A: Absolutely. Upgrade or switch any time from this page or the Plans & billing link on your Account page. Upgrades apply immediately and you only pay the difference; downgrades take effect at your next renewal with no refund.
The fine print, plainly:
  • No refunds. If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, then it stops.
  • Cancelling locks hosting on the day your period ends. Your in-app book hosting and chapter discussions turn off (it becomes like a free-tier ARC), but your books, chapters and data are kept, never deleted. Re-subscribe anytime to switch them back on.
  • 10-day grace on a failed payment. If a charge fails, you keep everything for 10 days while you update your card, then hosting locks.
  • Upgrade anytime: you only pay the difference for the time left on your current plan.
  • Downgrading takes effect at your renewal date. No refund, and you keep your current plan until then.
