The fine print, plainly:

No refunds. If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, then it stops.
Cancelling locks hosting on the day your period ends. Your in-app book hosting and chapter discussions turn off (it becomes like a free-tier ARC), but your books, chapters and data are kept, never deleted. Re-subscribe anytime to switch them back on.
10-day grace on a failed payment. If a charge fails, you keep everything for 10 days while you update your card, then hosting locks.
Upgrade anytime: you only pay the difference for the time left on your current plan.
Downgrading takes effect at your renewal date. No refund, and you keep your current plan until then.
