Information we collect
- Account information you provide when you sign up, such as your username and email address.

- Content you create, such as listings, applications to read, and reviews.
- Basic technical data your browser sends automatically, such as your IP address and device or browser type, used to keep the site secure and working.

We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to function, such as keeping you logged in. We may also use cookies to understand how the site is used.

We use Google AdSense to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Third-party services
We rely on a few trusted providers to run the site, including our hosting provider and an image hosting/delivery service (Cloudinary). These providers process data only as needed to provide their service to us.
The mobile app
The Story Tavern mobile app is another door into the same Tavern: it uses the same account, and collects and uses the same information described in this policy, nothing more. A few app-specific notes:
- Reading activity: while you are reading in the app, it reports reading time to your account the same way the website does (this powers the Active Reader drawing).
- Files on your device: when you download a watermarked review copy, the file is saved on your device and shared only where you choose to send it (for example, your e-reader app).
- Notifications: if you enable push notifications, your device's notification token is stored so we can deliver them. Turning notifications off in your device settings stops this.
- No advertising or tracking: the app contains no third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
Your choices
You can edit or remove most of your profile information at any time from your profile page. If you would like your account and associated data deleted, contact us and we will take care of it.
Children
The Story Tavern is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
