The Premise: Flaura Voss comes from a bloodline of sacred future-readers who certify kings. She's spent three years carefully not falling in love with her stablehand, Amos. But that will be easier after her upcoming arranged marriage. But, when a broken stirrup forces skin-to-skin contact, she experiences a blazing vision of Amos crowned, the empire's succession crisis ended and herself at his side. She tells herself it's prophecy demanding to be fulfilled. But Amos is just a stablehand. There's no way this prophecy can be fulfilled or even accepted.
