Rules of the Storm
Zoe wakes up in a storm shelter, disoriented and alone with a stranger who treats her like anything but one.
Nothing about Kellen makes sense. He kidnapped her, yet something keeps tugging at her, telling her maybe he can be trusted. He keeps her at arm's length, setting rules she's beginning to realize are more for him than for her, while refusing to give her the answers she wants.
Zoe has always been the go-with-the-flow kind of girl. With Kellen, she pushes back. Smarts off when she shouldn't. And discovers she's not very good at doing what she's told.
The longer they're forced together, the harder it becomes to tell where antagonism ends and something far more dangerous begins. Every argument chips away at Kellen's carefully maintained control, while Zoe begins to realize the man holding her captive may not be the greatest threat she's facing. The harder she fights for answers, the more tangled she becomes in secrets, danger, and a pull that refuses to let her go.
The life she thought was simple was anything but. Now there's no going back.
Rules of the Storm is a slow-burn romantic suspense with forced proximity, sharp banter, found family, emotional healing, and an earned HEA.
