Wolf in the Hole blurb:
William Wolfman is a recently-retired minor league hockey player who leaves behind a 16-year pro career with a reputation for bruise and brawn. Like myriad pro athletes, Wolfman suddenly finds his life beyond the ice both undefined and uncharted.
After a lengthy spell of carousing, irresponsibility and mercurial travel, his burn for purpose (and aggression) finds focus in digging a hole on his property in the Southern California high desert.
Serving as both metaphor and existential stoplight, the hole becomes bigger, deeper and eventually, if not ultimately, finds Wolfman upon a stage of performance for which he admittedly longs in his post-hockey life. While the project serves Wolfman’s soul, the growing hole, of course, does not meet the liking of all who encounter its depth and scope.
